Leeds University Women’s Hockey Club
Leeds University Women’s Hockey Club is the UK’s largest student hockey club, with 7 teams and a development squad.
Who can join?
With such a large range of ability across our 220 members, we cater for absolutely everyone, from beginner to elite.
All teams partake in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition on Wednesday afternoons. In addition to this, our 1s and 2s represent the University in the North Women’s Hockey League, and our 3rd to 6th teams play in the Yorkshire Hockey League at the Weekends.
Whether you want to learn the basics of hockey, keep fit, rediscover a sport you once played, push yourself as an athlete or just meet a load of friendly, fun people. THIS IS THE SOCIETY FOR YOU.
Never picked up a hockey stick before?
Our development squad provides the fantastic opportunity to learn a completely new sport or develop your hockey skills in a relaxed environment. However, the development squad also have the opportunity to play competitively in the University Intramural Programme.
