3 October 2012: Varsity Track & Field v Leeds Met – Leeds Met Carnegie track (Headingley).

6 October 2012: Manchester Relays – A flat, fast 3km-ish cross country relay course around the University of Manchester’s sports facilities. Post-race curry on Manchester’s legendary Curry Mile followed by an after party, usually in Fallowfield, Manchester’s bustling student hub. Accommodation provided by Manchester students.

20 October 2012: West Yorkshire XC League – Wetherby

27 October 2012: PECO League – venue TBC

10 November 2012: Braid Hills – Challenging 3km (women)/6km (men) cross country course in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, this weekend is one of the highlights of the year. Once you’ve showered off all of the mud, enjoy an evening of famous Scottish hospitality. They may even put on a ceilidh if you’re lucky. Accommodation provided.

1 December 2012: LEEDS RELAYS – THE BIG ONE! This is where we show the other universities how it’s done. 3.2km relay route of the university’s cross country course at Bodington Hall, it has ups, downs, turns and straights. The running is only half of the race – the beer racing at the after party is every bit as competitive.

19th January 2013: Cross country varsity v Leeds Met – Bodington Hall course. Met narrowly beat us last year, if everybody turns up and puts in a big performance I’m sure we can have them this time around! There is a lot of humour to be had in watching Tommy Walker and Chris Woodger crying in defeat. Last year’s entries included the Brownlee brothers, so the competition is tough at the sharp end but this really is a race for all abilities. All proceeds to the Donkey Sanctuary. 2 February 2013: Cross country BUCS – BUCS is the national university championship race which attracts over 1000 students. This is the one that the long hard training over the winter is geared towards. This year we have the privilege of hosting BUCS here in Leeds! In true Leeds style there will of course be a huge after party.

22-24 February 2013: BUCS Indoor Track & Field championships – Sheffield

23 February 2013: National Cross Country Championships – Sunderland

March 2013: Ed Prickett Relays – Nottingham’s turn to host. This is a relay of just over 3km which is mainly on road with some path sections.

29-31 March 2013: Isle of Man Easter Festival (NOT TO BE MISSED!) – we team up with our alumni club, Doss AC, for a fun packed weekend of racing and partying. Day 1 is a 10km road race, day 2 is a hill race followed by a pub crawl across the island and day 3 is a relay followed by the traditional football match against Manchester and after-party. This is the one that all of the unis go to. What else are you going to do this Easter?

21 April 2013: London Marathon – As an England Athletics registered club, we are usually guaranteed at least one entry. The number of entries we are granted depends on the number of first claim members we have, so sign up!
